It has been awhile…

Hello all – I wanted to drop a quick line on my blog (I have a blog?!) as I make another sorry attempt to have a functioning and interesting channel to my thoughts.  Since I have only posted a couple of things over the last many, many months, I forgot that I do actually enjoy writing and that I did actually have some interesting things to say for a while there.

As the summer is quickly ending, I seem to have continued my lifelong streak of never actually getting a tan.  My goal?  To get one by my wedding next  year so I don’t burn to a crisp wherever I end up going on a honeymoon.  I have had a pretty good summer.  I visited home twice: once for the 90th Anniversary of Saint Joseph’s and once for my nephew’s baptism (The A-Dog).  Unfortunately, both visits were too short and I seem to be in true need of a real, live vacation.  Which doesn’t count Convo 2010, which finally happened in July.  I will have a longer post at a later date detailing that.  I also made the newspaper for helping out a parishioner with prayers at his family reunion.  No matter that I grew up with a priest as my dad, it still looks funny to see a guy in black with a female companion.

Again, my goal of this re-imagined blog is to have shorter posts that occur more often.  Before, I held out for some strange reason until I had 1000 words worth of stuff to discuss.  Less is more, they say.  With that, I’m off, have a great day.
