Vacation Story

I thought I would share one of the funnier moments of vacation.  I went home from the Monday before Thanksgiving until the Saturday night after Thanksgiving.  The funny story I want to tell began the moment I walked through the door at home.  Although I had tried, I can’t really grow a beard.  That didn’t stop me from trying for a few days, and I arrived in Westfield with my best attempt at facial hair.  Much to my…whatever…I noticed that my brother Andrew gave an attempt at growing a beard too.  It was probably something like 30% nicer than mine…but not great.  Funnier yet was my youngest brother’s attempt at a beard…which was 30% worse than mine.  Anyways, the conversation of the week went something like this:

DAD- So Jason, I’m sure you’ll be cutting that beard off Saturday night before Church?

ME- Well, I had it last week, but I planned on it.  My girlfriend hates it anyways, especially the moustache.

MOM- My father always used to say “Never trust a man who doesn’t have a moustache.”

ANDREW- Thats funny, now the opposite is true.

For whatever reason, I thought that was hilarious.  Especially because my dad had a moustache for most of my life.  And not to drag on anyone who sports a moustache.  Here is a site with great mustachioed people
